TriMas Corp is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of engineered and applied products for commercial, industrial and consumer markets. The Company's business segments include Packaging, Energy, Aerospace, and Engineered Components.

TriMas Corp was incorporated in Delaware. The Company is a manufacturer of engineered and applied products serving focused markets in a range of commercial, industrial and consumer applications. The Company has four operating segments: Packaging, Energy, Aerospace & Engineered Components. The Packaging Systems is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of specialty, engineered closure and dispensing systems for a range of end markets, including steel and plastic industrial and consumer packaging applications. Packaging Systems manufactures high performance, value-added products that are designed to enhance its customers' ability to store, ship, process and dispense various products in the industrial, agricultural, consumer, personal care and pharmaceutical markets. This segment's products include steel and plastic closure caps, drum enclosures, rings and levers, and dispensing systems, such as pumps and specialty sprayers. The competitors include Aptar, Berger, Bericap, Calmar, Greif, Phoenix Closures, Self Industries and Technocraft. The Energy segment is a manufacturer and distributor of metallic and non-metallic gaskets, bolts, industrial fasteners and specialty products for the petroleum refining, petrochemical, oil field and industrial markets. The competitors include Flexitallic Group, Garlock (EnPro), Klinger, Lone Star and Teadit. The Aerospace & Defense is a designer and manufacturer of products use in focused markets within the aerospace and defense industries. This segment's products include aerospace fasteners and military munitions components. It competes with Alcoa Fastening Systems, Allfast Fastening Systems, Cherry Aerospace (PCC) and LISI Aerospace in aerospace products, and General Dynamics and Sloboda in munitions products. Engineered Components is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-pressure and low-pressure cylinders for the transportation, storage and dispensing of compressed gases, as well as a variety of natural gas powered engines and parts, gas compressors, gas production equipment, meter runs, engine electronics and chemical pumps. The competitors include Caterpillar, Chevy, Cummins and Ford industrial engines and electric motors. Cequent APEA and Cequent Americas segments, is designer, manufacturer and distributor of quality, custom-engineered towing, trailer and cargo management products and other accessories. The Company's products are subject to increasingly stringent environmental laws and regulations, including those relating to air emissions, wastewater discharges and chemical and hazardous waste management and disposal.
