Tower Semiconductor Ltd is a semiconductor manufacturing company. The Company, and its subsidiaries, manufactures ICs with geometries ranging from 1.0 to 45-nanometers. It also provides design support and complementary technical services. ICs manufactured by the Company are incorporated into a wide range of products in diverse markets, including consumer electronics, personal computers, communications, automotive, industrial and medical device products. The Company provides industry design support and design environment to allow complex designs to be achieved quickly and more accurately and offers customizable process technologies including SiGe, BiCMOS, mixed-signal and RFCMOS, CMOS image sensor, power management (BCD) and non-volatile memory (NVM) as well as MEMS capabilities. To provide multi-fab sourcing for its customers, the Company maintains two manufacturing facilities in Israel, one in the U.S. (Jazz), and one in Japan (TJP). It competes with the pure-play advanced technology node-driven foundry service providers such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation ("TSMC"), United Microelectronics Corporation ("UMC"), Global Foundries Inc. and Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. ("SMIC"). These four foundries compete against one another and focus on 12 inch deep-submicron CMOS processing. JAZZ SEMICONDUCTOR is a registered trademark of the the company. The Company is subject to a variety of laws and governmental regulations in Israel, the U.S. and Japan.
