Universal Truckload Services Inc was incorporated in Michigan on December 11, 2001. The Company is engaged in the provision of transportation and logistics solutions throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. It offers our customers a broad array of services across their entire supply chain, including transportation, value-added, and intermodal services. It also offers truck brokerage services, which allows it to supplement its capacity and provide its customers with transportation of freight by using third party capacity, as well as full service international freight forwarding and customs house brokerage services. The Company broadly groups its services into three service categories: transportation, value-added and intermodal support, Transportation, Value-added & Intermodal support. Its transportation services include dry van, flatbed, heavy haul, dedicated, refrigerated, shuttle and switching operations as well as full service domestic and international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, final mile and ground expedite. Its value-added services, which are typically dedicated to individual customer requirements, include material handling, consolidation, sequencing, sub-assembly, cross-dock services, kitting, repacking, warehousing and returnable container management. Its Intermodal operations include rail-truck, steamship-truck and support services. Its agreements with customers typically follow one of two patterns: transactional or contractual. The Company's operations are regulated and licensed by various federal and state agencies.
