UPM-Kymmene Oyj is a manufacturer of paper and forest products. The Company is engaged in the production of paper, with an emphasis on the manufacture and sale of printing and writing papers.

UPM-Kymmene Oyj is engaged in the pulp, paper, and engineered materials businesses. The Company operates in energy and pulp segment & Engineered Materials segment. Energy and pulp segment creates and distributes electricity and softwood and hardwood pulp. It also holds interests in and manages forests, and provides timber products and components for building. The Paper segment produces magazine, newsprint, and fine paper. These papers are used in advertising, printers, and magazines. The Company also provides specialty papers used for label materials. The Company also owns its own power generation facilities, procures its needed natural gas, and is co-owner of the two energy companies, Kemijoki Oy and Pohjolan Voima. The Engineered Materials segment produces self-adhesive labels, uncoated and coated plywood used in construction, and veneer for furniture. The Company sells its products to paper sellers, printers, publishers, and construction companies in Europe, North America, and Asia.
