USA Technologies Inc was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in January 1992. The Company is a provider of technology-enabled solutions that facilitate electronic payment transactions and value-added services within the unattended Point of Sale (POS) market. The Company is a provider in the small ticket, beverage and food vending industry and is expanding its solutions to other unattended market segments, such as amusement, commercial laundry, kiosk and others. Since its founding, the Company have designed and marketed systems and solutions that facilitate electronic payment options, as well as telemetry and machine-to-machine services which include the ability to remotely monitor, control, and report on the results of distributed assets containing its electronic payment solutions. The Company also manufactures and sells energy management products that reduce the electrical power consumption of equipment, such as refrigerated vending machines and glass front coolers, thus reducing the electrical energy costs associated with operating this equipment. The Company operates in the small ticket electronic payments industry and, more specifically, the unattended POS market. It also accepts cashless payment "on the go" through mobile-based payment services, which are generally higher ticket transactions. Its solutions facilitate electronic payments in industries that have traditionally relied on cash transaction. ePort Connect is a solution in the marketplace that provides customers with all of the service umbrella such as Diverse POS options, Card Processing Services, Wireless Connectivity, Customer/Consumer Services, Deployment Planning, Over-the-Air Update Capabilities and among others. The Company's competitors include Crane Payment Innovations and Cantaloupe Systems, Inc. Its trademarks include Blue Light Sequence, Business Express, CM2iQ, Creating Value Through Innovation, EnergyMiser, ePort, ePort Connect, ePort Edge, eSuds, Intelligent Vending, PC Express, Public PC, SnackMiser, TransAct, USA Technologies USALive, VendingMiser, and VM2iQ.
