usell.com Inc is a technology based company. It is engaged in creating an online marketplace where sellers interested in selling small consumer electronics, through an ecommerce website-based service.

Usell.com, Inc., formerly known as Upstream Worldwide, Inc., was incorporated in Delaware on November 18, 2003. The Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries helps individuals monetize pre-owned household items, such as small consumer electronics. Its services are free for Consumers and partner with electronics buying companies to offer them a cost-efficient customer acquisition model. The Company partners with electronics buying companies and provides them with a low risk, cost-efficient customer acquisition model. Its secure partner dashboard provides operational and price performance metrics such as phone send-in rates, payment accuracy, average phone offer prices and average payment time. When consumers enter the information about the device they intend to sell on its website, they are presented with offers from its partners that are interested in buying that item. A partner pays the company only when a consumer accepts an offer on its website and provides its partner with the consumer's name and address. The Company receives a fee regardless of whether the consumer ultimately sends in the phone or other device. It utilizes consumer oriented advertising efforts, such as direct response television commercials and various forms of internet advertising, to attract individuals to its website. The Company faces competition from a variety of other outlets including: Online auctions websites such as eBay.com, Companies such as Gazelle, an online purchaser of used electronics which advertises heavily, and its partners which promote their own websites which can be visited directly, Online classifieds such as craigslist.com, Electronics retailer recycling programs such as BestBuy, Inc., Wireless provider trade-in programs, Garage sales, and Pawn shops. It is subject to a variety of state and federal regulations and laws including state telemarketing laws, federal and state privacy laws, the CAN-SPAM Act, and the Federal Trade Commission Act and its accompanying regulations and guidelines, including 'little' unfair trade practice laws.
