VimpelCom Ltd was incorporated on June 5, 2009 in Bermuda. The Company is a telecommunications operator providing voice and data services through an array of wireless, fixed and broadband internet services, as well as selling equipment and accessories. The Company operated telecommunication services in Russia, Italy, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Algeria, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Burundi and the Central African Republic. The Company provides services under the Beeline, Kyivstar, banglalink, Mobilink, Telecel, Leo, Djezzy, Wind and Infostrada brands. It uses direct sales channels, indirect sales channels and telesales for consumer DSL. It is subject to regulation governing the operation of its business activities, such regulation typically takes the form of industry-specific laws and regulations covering telecommunications services and general competition law applicable to all activities.
