Business Description

Walker & Dunlop, Inc. is a Maryland Corporation. Through its subsidiary Walker & Dunlop, LLC, the Company is a provider of commercial real estate financial services in the United States, with a primary focus on multifamily lending. As a Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac Program Plus and MAP- and LEAN-approved FHA lender, the Multifamily and FHA Finance groups of Walker & Dunlop are focused on lending to property owners, investors, and developers of multifamily properties across the country. The Capital Markets group specializes in financing commercial real estate for owners and investors across the United States. Capital for this financing comes from large institutions such as life insurance companies, commercial banks, CMBS lenders, pension funds, and specialty finance companies. The Principal Investment group provides institutional advisory, asset management, and investment management services with respect to debt, structured debt and equity. As a Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac Program Plus and HUD lenders, the Company's multifamily products include market-rate apartments, affordable apartments, manufactured housing developments, seniors housing and student housing. Walker & Dunlop's loan programs cover a variety of multifamily products: market-rate multifamily housing; manufactured housing; student housing; senior housing; and affordable housing. Walker & Dunlop offers both fixed and adjustable rate loans as well as a number of more creative fixed/float combinations and interest-only executions. Early rate lock, small loans and loans with flexible refinance and supplemental terms are also available. Other categories of Walker & Dunlop specialty loans include: Structured transactions; Forward commitments; and Affordable Housing Finance. The Company originates and sells loans under the programs of GSEs and HUD. It retains servicing rights and asset management responsibilities on nearly all loans made under GSE and HUD programs and some of the loans that it places with institutional investors. The Company's long-established relationships with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD and institutional investors enable it to offer this broad range of loan products and services. Walker & Dunlop's Healthcare Finance group provides debt financing for healthcare properties. Together with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD and its partner, Credit Suisse, it offers a full range of financing options for borrowers.
