Western Gas Equity Partners LP were formed in September 2012 upon the conversion of WGR Holdings, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, into a Delaware MLP, and closed its initial public offering in December 2012. The Company is engaged in the business of gathering, processing, compressing, treating and transporting natural gas, condensate, NGLs and crude oil for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries, as well as third-party producers and customers. It owns or has investments in assets located in the Rocky Mountains (Colorado, Utah and Wyoming), the Mid-Continent (Kansas and Oklahoma), North-central Pennsylvania and Texas. The Company's operations are subject to stringent and complex federal, tribal, state and local environmental laws and regulations governing the discharge of materials into the environment or otherwise relate to environmental protection.
