George Weston Limited operates in food processing and distribution business. It offers frozen bakery products comprising bread, rolls, and sweet goods; and biscuit products, including wafers, ice-cream cones, cookies, and crackers.

George Weston Limited is a Canadian public company was incorporated on January 27, 1928. The Company along with its subsidiaries is engaged in food processing and distribution. The Company has two reportable operating segments: Weston Foods and Loblaw. It creates value for its shareholders and employees, and to supporting the communities in which it operates. To deliver long-term value to its shareholders, Weston employs various operating strategies. Weston Foods concentrates on brand development, low operating costs and maintaining a broad customer base, with the objective of providing bakery solutions to its customers. Loblaw concentrates on food retailing with the objective of providing Canadian consumers. The Loblaw operating segment is Canada's food retailer and a provider of drugstore, general merchandise and financial products and services, and is the majority unitholder of Choice Properties, an owner, manager and developer of commercial real estate across Canada. The Weston Foods operating segment is a fresh and frozen baking company in Canada and operates a frozen baking manufacturing business in the United States and a North American biscuit manufacturing business. Loblaw's competitors include traditional supermarket operators, as well as mass merchandisers, warehouse clubs, drugstores, limited assortment stores, discount stores, convenience stores and specialty stores.
