GuruFocus Profitability Rank ranks how profitable a company is and how likely the company’s business will stay that way. It is based on these factors:

1. Operating Margin
2. Trend of the Operating Margin (5-year average). The company with an uptrend profit margin has a higher rank.
••3. Consistency of the profitability
4. Piotroski F-Score
5. Predictability Rank•

The maximum rank is 10. A rank of 7 or higher means a higher profitability and may stay that way. A rank of 3 or lower indicates that the company has had trouble to make a profit.

Profitability Rank is not directly related to the Financial Strength Rank. But if a company is consistently profitable, its financial strength will be stronger.

WSFS Financial Corp is a savings and loan holding company, which provides residential and commercial real estate, commercial and consumer lending services, as well as retail deposit and cash management services.

WSFS Financial Corp is a savings and loan holding company founded in 1832. The Company has three business segments. There is one segment for each of WSFS Bank, Cash Connect, (the ATM division of WSFS Bank), and Trust and Wealth Management. The WSFS Bank segment provides financial products to commercial and retail customers through its 51 offices located in Delaware (41), Pennsylvania (8) and Virginia (1) and Nevada (1). Retail and Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate Lending and other banking business units are operating departments of WSFS. These departments share the same regulator, the same market, many of the same customers and provide similar products and services through the general infrastructure of the Bank. Cash Connect provides turnkey ATM services through strategic partnerships with several of the networks, manufacturers and service providers in the ATM industry. The balance sheet category 'Cash in non-owned ATMs' includes cash from which fee income is earned through bailment arrangements with customers of Cash Connect. The Wealth Management division provides a broad array of fiduciary, investment management, credit and deposit products to clients through four businesses. WSFS Investment Group, Inc. provides insurance and brokerage products to its retail banking clients. Cypress Capital Management, LLC ('Cypress') is a registered investment advisor. Cypress' primary market segment is high net worth individuals, offering a 'balanced' investment style focused on preservation of capital and current income. Christiana Trust provides fiduciary and investment services to personal trust clients, trustee, agency, custodial and commercial domicile services to corporate and institutional clients. WSFS Private Banking serves high net worth clients by delivering credit and deposit products and partnering with Cypress, Christiana Trust and WSFS Investment Group to deliver investment management and fiduciary products and services. The Company is subject to extensive federal and state banking laws, regulations, and policies that are intended for the protection of depositors, the FDIC's Deposit Insurance Fund, and the banking system as a whole, not for the protection of other creditors and stockholders.
