Watts Water Technologies, Inc., was incorporated in Delaware in 1985 and became the parent company of Watts Regulator Co. The Company designs, manufactures and sells a line of water safety and flow control products for the water quality, water conservation, water safety and water flow control markets located in North America, Europe, and China. Its main product lines include Residential & commercial flow control products which include products typically sold into plumbing and hot water applications such as backflow preventers, water pressure regulators, temperature and pressure relief valves, and thermostatic mixing valves; HVAC & gas products which include hydronic and electric heating systems for under-floor radiant applications, hydronic pump groups for boiler manufacturers and alternative energy control packages, and flexible stainless steel connectors for natural and liquid propane gas in commercial food service and residential applications. HVAC is an acronym for heating, ventilation and air conditioning; Drains & water re-use products includes drainage products and engineered rain water harvesting solutions for commercial, industrial, marine and residential applications; Water quality products which include point-of-use and point-of-entry water filtration, conditioning and scale prevention systems for both commercial and residential applications. The Company has completed 36 acquisitions since divesting its industrial and oil and gas business in 1999. Its acquisition strategy focuses on businesses that manufacture preferred brand name products that address its themes of water quality, water conservation, water safety and water flow control and related complementary markets. It distributes its products through three primary distribution channels namely wholesale, do-it-yourself (DIY) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
