Business Description

Web.com Group, Inc. was incorporated under the General Corporate Law of the State of Delaware on March 2, 1999 as Website Pros., Inc. It is a provider of internet services and online marketing solutions that enable small businesses to build and maintain an effective online presence. It offers a full range of web services, including domain name registration, website design, hosting and publishing, online marketing and advertising, local search, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, social media, mobile websites, e-mail, e-mail marketing, lead generation, vertical industry specific leads, logo and brand development and ecommerce solutions meeting the needs of a business anywhere along its lifecycle. It has built its business around a subscription-based ASP model that allows small businesses to affordably outsource their web services and online marketing needs to them. The key elements of its business model and approach are: providing comprehensive solutions for small businesses; offering affordable subscription-based solutions; up-selling or cross-selling additional services to existing customers; forming and enhancing strategic marketing relationships and streamlining operations for customer acquisition, fulfillment, and support. The market for web services is highly competitive, fragmented and evolving. Competitors range in size from small, local independent firms to very large conglomerates, and include website designers, Internet service providers, Internet search engine providers, local business directory providers, website domain name registrars, ecommerce service providers, lead generation companies and hosting companies. Key elements of its strategy include: continuing to target the small business market segment; selling additional services and products to existing customers; developing or acquiring complementary Services and Technologies; strengthening customer retention and extending its position as an affordable ASP. On October 27, 2011, the Company completed its acquisition of 100% of the equity interests in Net Sol Parent LLC, a provider of domain names, web hosting and online marketing services.
