Yara International ASA is incorporated in Norway in 1905. The Company is a chemical company. The Company manufactures agriculture and environmental protection product. It supplies mineral fertilizer and products that cleanse the air and eliminate toxic waste. The Company also distributes and sells phosphate and potash-based mineral fertilizers, as well as complex and specialty mineral fertilizer products. It operates through three segments namely Upstream, Downstream, and Industrial. The Upstream segment includes mass production of ammonia, urea, nitrates and other nitrogen-based products as well as phosphoric acid. Downstream offers fertilizer portfolio to growers internationally. It provides knowledge and tools to secure the right nutrients and optimize application and yield with minimal environmental impact. Industrial segment is a partner in chemical products. It provides solutions based on ammonia production and knowledge, and helps customers reach compliance with environmental legislation.
