Yara International ASA is an agriculture and environmental protection product manufacturer. It supplies mineral fertilizer and products that cleanse the air and eliminate toxic waste. The company offers product lines in fertilizers, industrial solutions, animal nutrition, and logistics and distribution. Its fertilizers are subdivided into three groups: field applied, fertigation, and foliar. The field applied fertilizers are nitrogen based and also contain phosphorus and potassium. The company offers other mineral fertilizers, such as calcium ammonium nitrate, ammonium nitrate, urea, urea ammonium nitrate, and ammonium sulfate. Its fertilizers are often blended with other products. Fertigation is a mix of irrigation and fertilizers. The liquid fertilizers include high levels of calcium nitrate, potassium nitrate, and micronutrient chelates. Foliar fertilizers are intended for targeted input at key growth stages. These are sprayed directly onto the crop so soil interaction is avoided. The company's industrial solutions include products for the environment, carbon dioxide/dry ice, chemicals, and technical nitrates. The company's environmental solutions include NOx abatement, odor control, and water purifiers. The carbon dioxide products include carbonation for the beverage and food industry. It also offers cold chain management and industrial applications. The chemicals product line includes nitrogen, electronics chemicals and specialty chemicals. The technical nitrates product line includes mining explosives for civil, mining, and construction applications. The animal nutrition segment offers fodder products under the BOLIFOR brand name. BOLIFOR offers animal feed acidifiers and minerals. Its products include BOLIFOR MCP-F, MCP-N, MGP, MGP+, MSP, MagNa-N, MDCP, AQUA, and Mag33.
