BB&T Securities is a wholly owned asset management company that acts as a nonbank subsidiary of BB&T Corporation. Under the operations of its two subsidiary companies, BB&T Securities performs services as a clearing company for brokerage firms, handling delivery and receipt of securities, processing exchange offers and other offerings, and selling and advising securities, insurance products, and annuities.
