Victor Fisciani on E&P in The Gulf of Mexico

Victor Fasciani of the Praetorian value Fund, recently gave a presentation titled about investing in the gulf of Mexico. Victor returned 26% per annum from 1997-2006 net of fees. One of the main philosophies Victor takes to heart is John templeton's famous quote, "invest when there is blood in the streets".

He maintains a 70/30 long short portfolio. The long positions consist of ATP Oil & Gas, Fluor, Cresud, Atwood Oceanics, and Contango Oil & Gas. His short positions consists of nickel, the euro, and lululemon Athletcia.

Victor discusses at length the declining oil supply, and the ever increasing demand from oil from countries like china. He also provides valuation estimates for his current holdings.
