U.S. stocks reported a third day of gains on Tuesday. Investors overlooked social unrest with optimism over reopening success. The energy sector also helped gains. The S&P 500 energy sector was up 3.04% as OPEC considers an extension of its production cuts, to potentially be discussed on Thursday.

- CrowdStrike (CRWD, Financial): Cybersecurity company reported earnings per share of 2 cents, beating the estimate of a loss of 6 cents.
- Western Union (WU, Financial): Western Union gained 11.3% and MoneyGram (MGI, Financial) gained 30% after a report that the company offered to buy its competitor.
- Zoom (ZM, Financial): Reported earnings per share of 20 cents, beating the estimate of 10 cents.
There were no major reports on the economic calendar. The Treasury held auctions for 119-day bills at a rate of 0.165% and 42-day bills at a rate of 0.135%.
