On February 10, 2021, NIC announced that it had signed an agreement to be acquired by Tyler Technologies for approximately $2.3 billion. Pursuant to the merger agreement, NIC stockholders will receive $34 in cash for each share of NIC common stock owned. The deal is scheduled to close in the second quarter of 2021.
