Carl Icahn Talks His Plan for Forest Labs

Well-known activist investor Carl Icahn was on CNBC to discuss his plans for Forest Lab (FRX, Financial) after he won one seat on their board. Icahn has been locked in a proxy battle with Forest labs to unlock the value as generics attack two kay drugs of Forest Labs

-- Bittersweet victory for Carl Icahn as he wins one board seat on Forest Lab's board vs. four he was fighting for.

-- Nevertheless, he thinks even one seat is enough to influence changes which will unlock the value.

-- Icahn has nominated Pierre Legault, former executive at several drug companies, to join the board.

-- He will take the path of peace, he likes the current CEO, he personally called Icahn to congratulate him on winning the board seat, and there are differences in opinion which will be resolved amicably.

-- There is really hope for the company and this company has great potential.
