Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (ISRG, Financial) manufactures the da Vinci surgical system, which is used by surgeons to perform various 'robotic-assisted' procedures with improved clinical results, smaller incisions and faster recoveries for patients. In July, the company reported slightly lower-than-expected growth in procedures using the da Vinci systems. We believe the company has multiple long-term growth drivers still in place, including emerging procedures in general surgery and geographic expansion into Japan.
