Thank you, Lydia, and good morning, and thank you, everyone, for joining us. As Lydia said, I'm Alex Vaughan, Chief Executive of Costain, and I'm joined this morning by Helen Willis, our Chief Financial Officer. I'm going to start with a brief business overview, then Helen will present our financial results, and I will close with an update on the progress we are making in delivering our leading edge strategy and the outlook for the group.
Following last year's results, I'm pleased to be able to report improving profitability in line with our plans, delivering an operating profit of GBP 11.5 million for the first half. Additionally, we have a healthy net cash position of GBP 113
