Here’s a look at three application software companies currently on a 52-week low and still held by a few billionaires. The9 Ltd. (NCTY, Financial), Merge Healthcare Inc. (MRGE, Financial) and FAB Universal Corp. (FU, Financial) are more than 52% off a 52-week high.

The current NCTY share price is $2.13, or 52.7% off the 52-week high of $4.50.

Down 28% over 12 months, NCTY has a market cap of $49.09 million, and trades at a P/B of 0.60. The company does not pay a dividend.

First incorporated in 1999 in the Cayman Islands, The9 Ltd. is an online game operator and developer in China. The company offers online games including MMORPGs, MMOFPSs, web games, social games, mobile games and TV games that it has licensed or developed. Its other products and services include game operating support, training and advertisement and short message services. In a typical MMORPG or MMOFPS, thousands of players can play the same game at the same time.
