Samsung's Generation Next Gizmos Unveiled

Samsung (SSNLF, Financial), the mobile gizmo giant again manages to take the market with a storm by launching a bouquet of mobile devices at one go at Europe's annual tech conference in Berlin, IFA. The four new line of products to hit the stands fresh from the Samsung stable are The Galaxy Note 4, Curved Screen Galaxy Note Edge, Gear S and the Virtual Reality Headset Gear VR.

Rumor mills have already gone through the markets about the much-awaited Note 4, and now it has finally arrived along with the other gadgets from the Samsung wonder box. Let us take a closer look at the new dream gadgets that has just emerged from the Pandora’s Box of Samsung.

Is Note 4 the next generation of Note 3???

Though Samsung was tight lipped about the exact specs of the Note 4, but it did create a hype in the market about the new features like the LTE category 6, 176g weight, and the most attractive part of it is its slim fit super stylish body which measures just 8.5mm. Samsung has introduced a new and innovative transparent widget that allows the user to have a view of the background while using the widget and a dynamic screen lock which can be personalized. After LG, Samsung has also set in a firm footstep in the HD space with a 5.6 QHD screen sporting a supper AMOLED display. Samsung has also significantly enhanced the touch sensitivity of Note 4 to give better accuracy and convenience of use with the S-pen. While designing the Note 4 the top priority slot was given to accuracy and flexibility of use, which is evident from the features introduced in this wonder gadget. Note 4 allow the users the flexibility of opening multiple windows without having to minimize or maximize other apps.

Instead of concentrating the photo imaging levels to crazy heights like its peers Sony (SNE, Financial) and Nokia (NOK, Financial), it has paid greater attention to making photography in low lights a delight which often happens with a mobile gadget camera. Think of a sudden get together of your near and far friends over a weekend evening, and you want to click a group photo with all of them in the dim ambience of a pub or restaurant and obviously you did not plan this photo session, hence you are not carrying your hi-fi camera and have to depend on the camera on your mobile phone or tablet. Note 4 is just the right gizmo for this instance. The Note 4 sports a 16 mega-pixel rear camera which is good enough to add colors to your clicks unless you want to blow the picture to a poster size and print it. The front camera is a 3.7 mega-pixel resolution camera coupled with a F1 lens. With Note 4 in its arsenal Samsung seems to be all set to en-cash the latest craze in the market of clicking selfies. Surf through any social network site and almost all your friends or connections would have posted a couple of their selfies in the last few months. Keeping in mind this recent photographic trend Samsung has opted to unravel a 90 degree front camera wide selfie mode, and a panoramic feature for "wide selfies" which will be a delight to all those out there who are waiting all decked up to click a perfect selfie and share it on their virtual social network circles.

The Note 4 comes with a QHD screen yet Samsung is boasting about a 7.5% better battery life than its predecessors and the peer players and can be fully charged ultra-fast within 30 minutes. The ultra power-saving mode of Galaxy S5 will also feature in the Note 4 giving it the edge of having a better functional life in its clan.

Samsung has yet not declared the pricing details of this wonder gadget, but it is expected to hit the shelves somewhere in the month of October 2014.

For quite some time Samsung has been romancing the idea of curved technology. Samsung has been dating with the curved technology since CES in 2013. The Note Edge is the outcome of this affair of Samsung with curved technology. Will Samsung Gear S succeed in putting Samsung in the fast lane???

It seems that with this new ammo Samsung is not only targeting a revolution in the mobile gadget section but also a new edition in the style statement segment adorning your wrist. The Gear S is the second entrant in the Gear series sporting 3G connectivity and a super AMOLED display. Though this fashion piece suits best on a heavy wrist but considering its feature of being able to work independently as a mobile phone and powered by a full keyboard and 1000 gear specific app makes it a communication powerhouse on your wrist.

Is Samsung shifting gears with the Samsung Gear VR???

During the launch, DJ Lee, president and head of sales and marketing, made the point loud and clear that Samsung and innovation is synonymous and that Samsung is dedicated towards making people’s life better than the best with new tech innovations. This vision of Samsung has ushered in the Oculus VR headset coupled with the versatile Note series to create a virtual reality experience – similar to Google’s Cardboard project. This new wonder piece boasts of a Super AMOELD high resolution screen, with a 96-degree viewing angle. This is equivalent to standing 2mm away from 175-inch mega screen.

Samsung’s ultimate countdown to the market

To quote a Carphone Warehouse spokesman about the recent volley of new launches by Samsung: “When the first phablets hit the market, many people weren’t sure about what they would need a phone with such a large screen for. However, over the last year we’ve seen the popularity of big screen smartphones grow considerably as mobile devices have become prime screens for watching content and gaming on the go. The Samsung Note 4 will be popular amongst existing phablet fans and the fact that it is the first device to integrate with Samsung Gear VR should attract a whole new legion of followers. We know our customers won’t be able to wait to get their hands on one.”

It is evident that the new launches from the Samsung bastion will certainly take the company to greater heights in the mobile gizmo market and will add flying colors to the commercial projections of Samsung.
