Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has launched a significant upgrade to its private cloud portfolio, targeting enhanced cost efficiency, performance, and simplicity for enterprise IT modernization. The announcement marks a generational leap forward with the integration of HPE Morpheus Software, which is designed to provide a more unified cloud management experience.

HPE's Private Cloud Business Edition, now featuring HPE Morpheus VM Essentials, offers substantial savings by potentially reducing VM license costs by up to 90%. This development is part of HPE's strategy to deliver a 2.5 times lower total cost of ownership (TCO) through its disaggregated hyperconverged infrastructure (dHCI), allowing businesses to optimize their virtual machine (VM) architecture across various environments from edge to data center.

The HPE Morpheus Software family, which includes both the VM Essentials and the HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software, is now generally available. These tools are designed for global deployment and offer multi-hypervisor support, self-service cloud consumption, and are hardware-agnostic, supporting a range of servers including Dell PowerEdge and NetApp AFF arrays, in addition to HPE's own ProLiant servers.

Further simplifying virtualization modernization, HPE has introduced new cloud platform services. These services aim to streamline the process of updating IT infrastructures by offering assessments, workload re-platforming, infrastructure modernization, and data migration, thereby reducing operational overhead. The release highlights HPE's commitment to easing IT management complexities and enabling enterprises to reinvest in growth areas.

HPE's advanced cloud solutions are set to debut additional features in the third quarter of 2025, with HPE SimpliVity systems enhancing the portfolio's offering. This expansion will facilitate enterprises in achieving faster application deployment and substantial reductions in cloud costs, thus reinforcing HPE's leadership in the private cloud space.
