- Discovery of significant copper mineralization with 22m of 0.65% Cu and 0.77 g/t Ag.
- Expansion of the alteration footprint by 500m at the Tipicancha target.
- Tipicancha is expected to be included in Coppernico's Phase 2 drilling program.
Coppernico Metals Inc. (CPPMF, Financial) has reported substantial surface channel sampling results at the Tipicancha target, unveiling 22 metres of 0.65% copper and 0.77 g/t silver. A noteworthy high-grade segment within this includes 10 metres containing 1.14% copper.
The company's exploration efforts have extended the alteration footprint by 500 meters, resulting in a total coverage of approximately 2 kilometers by 400 meters. The Tipicancha site exhibits classic epithermal-style alteration and geochemistry, demonstrating potential connections to a subsurface porphyry intrusion.
Significant geological mapping and rock sampling have exposed elevated pathfinder element values, indicating a transition from an epithermal to a porphyry environment. These insights are set to be included in Coppernico's Phase 2 drilling program, with permit applications currently underway.
Ivan Bebek, Chair and CEO, emphasized that Tipicancha's discovery aligns with Coppernico's strategic exploration efforts at the Sombrero Project, a substantial land package in Peru known for its copper-gold potential. The company is actively working on securing permits to enhance its drilling capacity and further explore the promising Tipicancha target, which adds a valuable dimension to Coppernico's portfolio of discovery opportunities.
