According to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), Tesla (TSLA, Financial) experienced a decline in sales in the European Union for the fourth consecutive month. In April, Tesla's new car registrations in the EU plummeted nearly 53% to 5,475 units. When including the UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland, sales decreased by 49% to 7,261 units.
For the first four months of the year, the EU's passenger new car registrations dropped by 1.2% year-over-year to 3.64 million units. Among the major markets, Germany saw a 3.3% decline, while France and Italy witnessed decreases of 7.3% and 0.6%, respectively.
