Sphere Entertainment Co. (SPHR) has announced that tickets are now on sale for "The Wizard of Oz at Sphere," a groundbreaking immersive experience opening in Las Vegas on August 28, 2025. This innovative event, created in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, Google, and Magnopus, promises to captivate audiences by making them feel as though they have journeyed inside the iconic film. Featuring technological marvels and interactive elements, the Sphere venue will deliver an unparalleled experience for all attendees.
The experience utilizes Sphere's massive 160,000 square foot display plane to envelop the audience, while haptic seats, environmental effects, and custom scents further enhance the immersion. Visitors can expect to travel alongside Dorothy and her companions down the yellow brick road toward the Emerald City, reimagined for today's audiences with state-of-the-art technologies provided by Sphere's partners.
As part of the launch, Sphere has unveiled a public installation featuring the Wicked Witch of the East's enormous legs, complete with 22-foot-tall ruby slippers. This adds a unique visual element to the venue's Exosphere, enhancing the historical narrative by drawing on famous scenes from the classic movie.
