Planet Labs PBC (PL), a leading provider of satellite imagery and geospatial solutions, has been selected by NATO for a significant seven-figure contract. The agreement involves delivering advanced daily monitoring and intelligence capabilities that will enhance NATO’s strategic areas of interest. This partnership highlights the increasing focus on defense capabilities, especially across Europe, amidst evolving global geopolitical dynamics.

Under the terms of the agreement, Planet will utilize its PlanetScope Broad Area Monitoring technology, integrated with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) analytics, to offer NATO a robust platform for persistent space-based surveillance. This initiative is designed to augment NATO's Indications & Warning (I&W) capabilities, providing enhanced early alerts and strengthening Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA).

Will Marshall, Co-founder and CEO of Planet, emphasized the critical need for comprehensive, rapid intelligence expertise in today's scenario.
