Wallbox (WBX), a prominent provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management solutions, has announced a strategic collaboration with PowerGo, a leading charge point operator. This partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of AC and DC charging infrastructure across Essendi hotels in the Netherlands, addressing the surging demand for sustainable mobility solutions.
The first milestones of this collaboration have already been reached, with installations at Mercure Amsterdam City, featuring six 22 kW AC charging points, and Novotel Amsterdam City, which offers two 150 kW DC and six 22 kW AC charging points. These installations leverage Wallbox's advanced technology, including the Em4 AC charger and Supernova DC fast charger, ensuring a seamless user experience alongside PowerGo's renewable energy-powered infrastructure.
Further installations are planned for multiple hotel locations in the provinces of North Holland and South Holland. These include the Ibis and Ibis Budget Amsterdam Airport hotels at Schiphol, as well as the Novotel in Rotterdam Brainpark, marking an expansive rollout within Essendi's hotel portfolio.

With over 1,700 public charging points across seven European countries, PowerGo, a subsidiary of solar energy specialist PowerField, is committed to expanding the green charging network in the Netherlands.
