  • Copper Fox Metals (CPFXF, Financial) assembles a project team for Van Dyke ISCR prefeasibility study.
  • A $0.25/lb increase in copper prices could boost the project's NPV by $90 million.
  • The project could provide hundreds of jobs in the Miami-Globe area in Arizona.

Copper Fox Metals Inc. (CPFXF) has taken a significant step forward with its Van Dyke in-situ copper recovery project by assembling a specialized project team to prepare an Execution Plan, aiming at advancing the project to the Prefeasibility Study (PFS) stage. Situated in the Globe-Miami Mining District, Arizona, the project previously underwent a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) in 2020, which was predicated on a copper price of $3.15/lb.

The company has engaged renowned contractors such as Stantec Consulting Services, Samuel Engineering, Bird Resource Consulting, RGC Hydro Services, and Call & Nicholas to manage diverse facets of the prefeasibility study. Notably, the PEA highlighted the project's sensitivity to copper prices: a $0.25/lb increase would raise the after-tax Net Present Value (NPV) by approximately $90 million.

Samuel Engineering is actively developing a preliminary geometallurgical model using Cancha Geometallurgy software. This modeling aims to enhance understanding of the variability and distribution of soluble copper mineralogy, identify geometallurgical domains, and locate gaps in the existing sampling across the deposit.

Elmer B. Stewart, President and CEO of Copper Fox, expressed confidence in the capabilities of the assembled team led by Stantec, underscoring their extensive experience with advanced ISCR projects in Arizona. The project promises to deliver much-needed copper production while creating substantial employment opportunities in the Miami-Globe region.
