This initiative forms part of a larger five-year, $100 million commitment to repair and restore millions of square feet of community space, demonstrating Lowe's significant commitment to civic engagement and community development.
Now in its fourth year, the Lowe’s Hometowns program will focus on projects such as expanding food pantry capacities, restoring transitional housing facilities, revitalizing parks and gardens, and establishing rest spaces for first responders. These efforts will be powered by Lowe’s associates, who will conduct over 1,700 associate-selected community improvement projects, contributing to the company’s promise of delivering a 10 million square foot impact nationwide.
Lowe's has partnered with Points of Light, a globally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to civic engagement, to implement the Hometowns program effectively.
