- The new acquisitions strategically bridge Intrepid's holdings with Rio Tinto's recent claims, enhancing exploration potential.
- Total holdings now stand at 11,715 acres, strengthening Intrepid's position in a premier copper mining region.
Intrepid Metals Corp. (OTCQB: IMTCF) has successfully expanded its Corral Copper Property located in Cochise County, Arizona. This strategic expansion was achieved through the acquisition of four new state leases from the Arizona State Land Department and a patented mining claim from Silver Nickle Mining Company. The new acquisitions add a significant 2,195 acres to the property, boosting Intrepid's total holdings to 11,715 acres.
The expansion is pivotal as the new state leases connect Intrepid's existing holdings with recently acquired claims by mining giant Rio Tinto. This connection is a direct result of Intrepid's successful 2024 drill program, which underscored the property's potential and attracted considerable regional interest.
Located in a tier-one jurisdiction, Intrepid's expanded land package positions the company to further capitalize on exploration opportunities and reinforces its competitive stance in one of Arizona's most prospective copper belts. "The expansion of our land position at Corral reflects our continued confidence in the district's potential and our commitment to building a meaningful copper asset," commented Ken Engquist, CEO of Intrepid Metals.
