Both GuruFocus Excel Add-In and API Are Available to Premium Members Now

As a GuruFocus Premium Member, you can now use GuruFocus API and Excel Add-in. These features make it very easy to do fully customized research, charting and calculation in Excel and other applications.

GuruFocus API and Excel Add-in are now available to both Premium Members and PremiumPLUS members. You can pull these data from GuruFocus API and Excel Add-in:

  1. Company Financials up to 20 years of annual data and 80 quarters of quarterly data.
  2. Historical price data - split adjusted.
  3. Stock summary data including latest price changes and ratios
  4. Guru trades for specific companies
  5. Insider trades for specific companies
  6. Guru list
  7. Guru stock picks
  8. Aggregated portfolio

Additionally with Excel Add-in, you can easily construct new portfolios, track your real portfolios in Excel, get price updates, the valuation ratios and fundamental data.

Update (Aug. 20, 2015):

  • The number of queries allowed per month is 2,000 for Premium Members, and 20,000 for PremiumPLUS members.
  • Samples are now available for PHP, JAVA, C#m Python, and Google Spreadsheet

These are very useful additions ! I have 2 questions.

To process the data from JSON calls with our own software, we would rely on field descriptions such as "Historical Median Price to Oprt. Cash Flow" to keep the exact same spelling in the future. To what extent can you guarantee that? It does seem wiser to introduce more generic field descriptions, eg "HMP-OPF", which are guaranteed to stay the same.

Can you give a (rough) insight into the different limits on api queries between Premium and PremiumPlus?
