Tiger Global Management, a 10% owner of Apollo Global Management LLC (APO, Financial), purchased 361,800 shares of Apollo between March 30 and April 4 in three separate transactions according to an SEC filing.

Tiger Global Management now owns 23,361,799 total shares.

Apollo is a global alternative investment manager, which provides private equity, credit-oriented capital markets and real estate. The company raises, invests and manages funds on pension and endowment funds as well as other institutional and individual investors. It operates through three business segments: Private Equity, Credit and Real Estate.

The company currently has approximately $170 billion in assets under management. Apollo also manages assets for Athene, a fixed-annuity provider that provides the company with over $60 billion in permanent capital.
