We are pleased to announce a new feature on our home page, bookmarks. This feature allows you to access your most commonly used GuruFocus sites without having to search from the blue ribbon.

Brief introduction to bookmarks

According to Merriam Webster, a bookmark is a menu entry or icon that “serves as a shortcut” to a previously viewed webpage. While Google Chrome calls these “bookmarks,” other browsers like Microsoft Edge use the term “Favorites.” Figure 1 shows the “Bookmarks” feature in Google Chrome.

The “Bookmarks” section in Chrome lists the webpages you bookmarked by clicking the star icon in the address bar. This allows you to access your favorite webpages without having to search.

Bookmarks in GuruFocus

You can save bookmarks within the GuruFocus website just like how you save bookmarks through Chrome or Microsoft Edge. On each page, you should see a blue star icon in the upper right corner, right below the “Referral Program” button. (Free members will see the “Get 7-Day Free Trial” button instead.) Figure 2 shows the location of the blue star.

Click on the blue star icon to bookmark the active page. You should see a pop-up window like the one in Figure 3.1. (Note the similarities between our pop-up window and Google Chrome’s pop-up window as Figure 3.2 illustrates.)

Viewing saved bookmarks

You can view your bookmarks on our new home page: please scroll down until you see the section titled “Bookmarks.” Figure 4 shows a sample “Bookmarks” section that contains links to our most popular features, including the All-in-one Guru Screener, the Excel Add-in, My Portfolios and a list of stocks meeting Warren Buffett (Trades, Portfolio) and Charlie Munger (Trades, Portfolio)’s investing strategy.
