The VIX Volatility Index was lower at 11.52 for a loss of -1.67 points or -12.66%.
Tuesday’s market movers
Stock market gains were helped by momentum from the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500, which both gained approximately 1% for the day. While indexes gained, political uncertainty was still a factor as investors see risk in developing legislation for businesses and geopolitical issues.
The FHFA House Price Index was the only market moving report for the day. The Index increased 0.1% for the month and 6.5% for the year.

The Dow Jones Small-Cap Growth TSM Index closed at 8,360.24 for a gain of 100.44 points or 1.22%. The Dow Jones Small-Cap Value TSM Index closed at 9,343.04 for a gain of 70.97 points or 0.77%.
