Company raises earnings guidance for 2018

Chief Financial Officer Jason Liberty said strong cruising demand and disciplined cost management contributed to “another record year” for Royal Caribbean. The company plans to introduce three new cruise ships by the end of 2018: Symphony of the Seas, Azamara Pursuit and Celebrity Edge. The three ships are expected to drive company yield growth, which has remained positive over the past eight years.

The company expects full-year adjusted earnings between $8.55 and $8.75 per share, reflecting an increase of approximately $1 from the prior year.
