Shares of Under Armour Inc. (UA, Financial) rose 22% Tuesday after announcing third-quarter results. The company posted earnings per share of 25 cents and $1.44 billion in revenue, a 2.1% year-over-year growth. The company beat earnings estimates by 13 cents and revenue estimates by $20 million.

Gross margin increased 10 basis points to 46.1%,Ă‚ including a $5 million impact related to restructuring efforts. Further, the operating income was $119 million and adjusted operating income was $143 million.

Looking ahead, revenue is expected to increase approximately 3-4%, reflecting a low single-digit decline in North America and international growth of approximately 25%. Operating loss is now projected to be approximately $50 million to $55 million, lower than the previous figure of $60 million loss.

Shares of KLA-Tencor Corp. (KLAC, Financial) jumped more than 5% after first-quarter earnings per share of $2.46 on revenue of $1.09 billion, a 12.4% year-over-year growth.The company beat earnings estimates by 25 cents and revenue expectations by $20 million.

The company's President and CEO Rick Wallace said, "KLA-Tencor delivered another outstanding quarter, demonstrating the company's technology and market leadership, and the compelling value of our diversified product and service portfolio in enabling customer success."

Mondelez International Inc. (MDLZ, Financial) shares gained more than 3% Tuesday on financial results. The company posted third-quarter earnings of 62 cents, on revenue of $6.3 billion. The company beat earnings estimates by 2 cents but fell short revenue estimations by $20 million.

The gross profit margin was 38.4%, down 60 basis points, driven primarily by an unfavorable impact from currency and commodity hedging activities. Adjusted gross profit margin was 40.6%, an increase of 110 basis points, due to higher pricing and productivity savings.
