John Paulson's Latest View on Economy, Inflation, and Markets

Alistair Barr of MarketWatch.com wrote a piece that detailed John Paulson’s current thinking towards economy, housing market, inflation and gold. Paulson discussed his reviews during a conference call with investors.

Paulson’s hedge funds lagged in performance during the first quarter because he was too heavy in short position. He has since covered some short position and performance during April has improved.

On the economy, Paulson has turned very bullish. He sees a V-shaped recovery likely. He sees a strong market, a vibrant credit market, and a rising housing market. He has not changed his view towards inflation and still holds on his investment in gold and gold mining companies.
