American Midstream Partners LP owns, operates, develops and acquires a portfolio of natural gas midstream energy assets The Company is engaged in the business of gathering, treating, processing, fractionating and transporting.

American Midstream Partners LP is a Delaware limited partnership that was formed on August 20, 2009. The Company owns, operate, develop and acquire a diversified portfolio of midstream energy assets. The Company is engaged in the business of gathering, treating, processing, fractionating and transporting natural gas through its ownership and operation of eleven gathering systems, two processing facilities, one fractionation facility, four terminal sites, three interstate pipelines and five intrastate pipelines. It owns approximately 50% undivided, non-operating interest in a processing plant located in southern Louisiana. The Company is the owner, developer and operator of petroleum, agricultural, and chemical liquid terminal storage facilities. Its assets, which are strategically located in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas, provide critical infrastructure that links producers and suppliers of natural gas to diverse natural gas and NGL markets, including various interstate and intrastate pipelines, as well as utility, industrial and other commercial customers. The Company currently operates approximately 2,100 miles of pipelines that gather and transport approximately 1 Bcf/d of natural gas and operate approximately 1.3 million barrels of storage capacity across four marine terminal sites. The operations are organized into three segments: Gathering & Processing, Transmission and Terminals. In Gathering and Processing segment, it provides gathering, compression, treating, processing, fractionating, transportation, sales of natural gas, NGLs and condensate. The competitors in this segment include TGP, Gulf South and ANR. Transmission segment is comprised of interstate and intrastate pipelines that transport natural gas from interconnection points on other large pipelines to customers, such as local distribution companies ("LDCs"), electric utilities, direct-served industrial complexes, or to interconnects on other pipelines. It contract with customers to provide firm and interruptible transportation services. The competitors for this segment are Southern Natural Gas Company and Louisiana Intrastate Gas. Terminals segment provides above-ground storage services at its marine terminals that support various commercial customers, including commodity brokers, refiners, and chemical manufacturers, to store , including crude oil, bunker fuel, distillates, chemicals and agricultural products. The competitors for this segment are Kinder Morgan, International Matex Tank Terminals and the Westway Group. The Company's operations are subject to a number of federal and state laws and regulations, including the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act, or OSHA, and comparable state statutes, the purposes of which are to protect the health and safety of workers, both generally and within the pipeline industry.
