Astea International Inc, along with its subsidiaries, develops, markets, and supports service management software solutions, which are licensed to companies that sell and service equipment, and/or sell & deliver professional services.

Astea International Inc was incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1979 under the name Applied System Technologies, Inc. In 1992, the Company changed its name to Astea International Inc. In May 1995, the Company reincorporated in Delaware. The Company develops, markets, and supports service management software solutions, which are licensed to companies that sell and service equipment, and/or sell and deliver professional services. Its solutions are used in industries such as information technology, medical devices and diagnostic systems, industrial controls and instrumentation, retail systems, office automation, imaging systems, facilities management, telecommunications and other industries with equipment sales and service requirements. It offers all the cornerstones of service lifecycle management, including customer management, service management, asset management, reverse logistics management and mobile workforce management. The Company's products are Astea Alliance, FX Service Center and FX Mobile. Astea Alliance supports the complete service lifecycle, from generation and project quotation to service and billing through asset retirement. FX Service Center is a service management and dispatch solution system that gives organizations command over their field service operations. FX Mobile offerings include mobile field service automation (FSA) systems, which include the wireless devices and support of mobile field technicians using portable, hand-held computing devices. The Company's clients include Fortune 500 to mid-size companies, which Astea services through Company facilities in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, The Netherlands and Israel. The Company's competitors include SAP AG, Oracle Corporation, Amdocs Limited, Viryanet Ltd. and a number of smaller privately held companies.
