Canadian National Railway Co is engaged in the rail and related transportation business. The Company transports goods for business sectors. The goods include resource products, manufactured products and consumer goods.

Canadian National's railway spans Canada from coast to coast and extends through Chicago to the Gulf of Mexico. In 2016, CN delivered 5.2 million carloads over its 19,600 miles of track. CN derived CAD 12 billion in revenue by hauling intermodal containers (24% of consolidated revenue), agriculture (19%), chemicals (18%), forest products (14%), metals and mining (11%), automotive shipments (6%), and coal (merely 4%). Other items constitute the remaining 4% of revenue.
