Enel SpA is an electricity operator in Italy. The Company produces, distributes and sells electricity and natural gas across Europe, Russia, North America and Latin America.

Enel is a diversified energy company domiciled in Italy. Operations span 40 countries but are concentrated in Italy, Spain, and Latin America. The firm's primary activities are electric generation, electric networks, marketing, and gas transmission and distribution. These activities are split into nonregulated and regulated segments, with roughly half of the company's EBITDA derived from nonregulated operations. Enel is a giant in global power generation, with 84 gigawatts of capacity, but it is slimming its portfolio.
