Fly Leasing Ltd is a lessor of modern, fuel-efficient commercial jet aircraft. Its aircraft are leased under long-term to medium-term contracts to a diverse group of airlines.

Babcock & Brown Air was formed in May 2007 to acquire 47 commercial jet aircraft from affiliates of Babcock & Brown Ltd, an Australian asset manager. The company completed its IPO in October 2007. Babcock & Brown Ltd announced its intention to sell its 14% ownership stake of B&B Air in November 2008. B&B Air is a small player in the aircraft leasing industry, and it has $2.1 billion in assets, with 62 planes serving 35 lessees in 19 countries.
