Key Energy Services Inc is an onshore, rig-based well servicing contractor. The Company provides well services to oil companies, foreign national oil companies and independent oil and natural gas production companies.

Key Energy Services Inc was organized in April 1977 and commenced operations in July 1978 under the name National Environmental Group, Inc. In December 1992, it became Key Energy Group, Inc. and changed its name to Key Energy Services, Inc. in December 1998. The Company is an onshore, rig-based well servicing contractor. It provides well services to oil companies, foreign national oil companies and independent oil and natural gas production companies. Its services include rig-based and coiled tubing-based well maintenance and workover services, well completion and recompletion services, fluid management services, fishing and rental services and other ancillary oilfield services. Its reportable segments are U.S. and International. The U.S. reporting segment includes domestic rig-based services, fluid management services, fishing and rental services, and coiled tubing services. The International reportable segment includes operations in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Russia, Bahrain and Oman. The Company purchases a wide variety of raw materials, parts and components that are made by other manufacturers and suppliers for its use. Its customers include oil companies, foreign national oil companies, and independent oil and natural gas production companies. The Companys operations are subject to various federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to health, safety and the environment.
