The Eastern Co is a manufacturer and seller of industrial hardware, security products and metal castings. It operates in three business segments: Industrial Hardware, Security Products and Metal Products.

The Eastern Co was incorporated under the laws of the State of Connecticut in October, 1912, succeeding a co-partnership established in October, 1858. The Company is a manufacturer of industrial hardware, security products and metal castings.The Company operates in three business segments: Industrial Hardware, Security Products and Metal Products. The Industrial Hardware segment manufactures an extensive selection of latches, locks and other security hardware used throughout the transportation and industrial sectors. Security Products segment offers electronic and mechanical locking devices for the computer, electronics, vending, and gaming industries. The Metal Products segment offers expansion shells for use in supporting the roofs of underground mines; and specialty malleable and ductile iron castings. Its products include mine roof support anchors, couplers for railroad braking systems, support anchoring for construction and couplers/fittings for utility (oil, water and gas) industries.
