Their products fall into three categories: instruments, control, and vacuum products; power and reactive gas products; and analytical solutions products. MKS generates the majority of its revenue from sales to semiconductor capital equipment manufacturers and semiconductor device manufacturers. The company's operating segments comprise Manufacturing Capital Equipment, service, Asia Region Sales, and Other. The Manufacturing Capital Equipment segment contributes the majority of revenue. Over half of MKS Instruments' sales occur in the United States.
