AAR Corporation was founded in 1951, organized in 1955 and reincorporated in Delaware in 1966. It is a diversified provider of products and services to the aviation and government and defense markets. It reports its activities in two business segments: Aviation Services segment consists of aftermarket support and services businesses that provide spares and maintenance support for aircraft operated by commercial and government/defense customers. The Expeditionary Services segment consists of businesses that provide products and services supporting the movement of equipment and personnel by the U.S. DoD, foreign governments and non-governmental organizations. The aviation industry is regulated by the FAA in the United States and equivalent regulatory agencies in other countries.
