The rank of Profitability (70%)

The ranking of Profitability is done by ranking:
  • Operating margin mean rank (10-year mean average profit margine)
  • Operating margin growth rank
  • Fscore
  • Predictability rank
  • Revenue growth rank (5 year), when the growth is higher than 25%, set it as 25%
  • Num of year profit (number of years that is profitable within the last 10 years)
  • ROIC median (10-year median of ROIC)

F5 is a market leader in the application delivery controller market. The company sells products for security, application performance, and automation. Its three customer verticals are enterprises, service providers, and government entities. Revenue is evenly split between its services business and products business with revenue trending toward products due to software adoption.
